Costa Rica Weddings / Sam & Eugene at Pangas Beach Club

So happy to share this beautiful wedding at one of our favorite wedding venues!!!! Samantha & Eugene fell in love with the tree at Pangas, so it was only logical that it serve as the backdrop for their ceremony (and later in the evening, for their amazing dessert spread).

Lovely little details were the focus of this wedding. The macrame for the seating display was made by the bride and finished off with a great local driftwood find (I am lucky enough to live in a beach where there is lots and lots of driftwood and if you are patient enough, you will find amazing stuff!). Names were hand written on awesome seed paper, and guests could take them and plant them!

One of my favorite details were the vodka carafes... As Eugene is Russian, it was important to them to honor their tradition and vodka filled carafes were set on each table.  The couple created custom tags that we tied around the carafes with multicolor string, adding special touches to the tables.

The general idea was to keep the decor with a boho feel, adding a pop of reds and oranges to a muted palette.  We worked with my favorite materials, wood,  glass, natural fibers, to give the space the perfect vibe, for an evening filled with fun, dancing and a most amazing dessert table!!!

Costa Rica Weddings / Georgina & Jordan at Tamarindo Diria

These year, we are loving deep hues and bright blooms, and we had a blast designing Georgina and Jordan's wedding!! The bride had a general idea of what she wanted, but she was always open to suggestions, and we all just loved the end result!

For this wedding filled with family and close friends in Playa Tamarindo, we decided on going with loose bohemian florals but adding a bit of glam by incorporating gold accents), which were perfectly executed by Artflower. Taking the unusually rainy weather into consideration, the ceremony took place under a tent in the beachfront garden at Tamarindo Diria, and was followed by cocktails on their beachfront Matapalo terrace... which were interrupted by some rather heavy rain. But as good things come to all who wait, the rain stopped a few minutes later, and the sunset was just stunning (we are loving the  photo with the palm trees taken at sunset - do check it out!!).

Dinner and dancing followed in the Mixcoa terrace, with guests seated under string lights and hanging orbs with candles, which brought out the sparkle of the sequined runners. We finished the table with geometric details, gold chargers, custom made lavender hand dyed napkins and menus with a simple, clean design.

The star of the night was the fabulous cake (and dessert table). The flowers on it are actually gum paste (not real!!!) but not one guest could believe it until they touched them!!!
