If you enjoyed the beautiful first look sequence we posted on our blog, here is a better look a Kim and Dan’s wedding at the beautiful Hotel Santarena in Las Catalinas. Kim and Dan wanted a lovely celebration that really showcased the natural beauty of Costa Rica, looked nicely decorated but did not break the bank. Even though we were super lucky with the weather (chances of rain in mid November are quite high, even in the Northern Pacific coastal area of Guanacaste), an A/C space for dinner and dancing was also very important to them. Hotel Santarena has what is, IMO, the best looking closed ballroom there is in the area, with beautiful windows and doors and spectacular light fixtures that make it not even feel like a ballroom…

Floral was simple but beautiful, in whites and greens to add a bit of elegance and not clash with the mid-century modern meets the tropics style of the hotel. Hand calligraphy place cards were color coded with a beautiful and low key paint stroke to identify each guests’ meal selections during dinner, a little detail we all loved.

And what can I say… when it is hot outside, what better than an air conditioned room to dance in?
