Costa Rica Weddings / Lindsey & David at Hacienda Pinilla

When your family has a vacation home in Costa Rica, choosing your wedding destination becomes a given. For Lindsey and Dave, Hacienda Pinilla was the logical choice, a beautiful place where they had spent amazing holidays and they wanted to share with their friends and family as they said "I do".

A beautiful beachfront ceremony followed by a great party at the Avellanas Beach Club was definitely the way to go (with a little photo session in the middle of a field, with some cows in the background, that could not be more "Guanacaste").  Lindsey wanted the floral to have a lot of greenery with accents in hues of purple, and the florist created some beautiful table runners on the tables, which were a combination of wood and natural fiber linens, a nod to the natural beauty of the venue. Really, when you get to work in amazing locations, simplicity is key. Destination is  a lot about showcasing the place that you decided to get married in, and taking advantage of the natural beauty when designing is something that we always consider for our clients.

Dave loves sweets, so they made sure to get a wonderful dessert bar, with the focus being a marble cake with the cutest topper (Lindsey and Dave are huge Jack Johnson fans), and treats were had (including locally roasted coffee from Tamarindo Coffee Roasters, in custom packaging with the wedding logo, which were handed out as favors) before the night ended with a bang (of fireworks).
