Costa Rica Weddings / Jaime & Rey at Pangas Beach Club

If I must say so, I find the tree at Pangas to be one of the most absolutely gorgeous ceremony backdrops around. The ocean, the estuary, the tree... Add a sweet couple, so much in love, friends, family and a lot of dancing, and you have one super fun wedding!!!  Jaime & Rey's wedding was one of those weddings that feels like a huge party even though it is actually a very intimate group. This is a great thing to have happen at a wedding, in my opinion!!!

For the design, Jaime wanted it to be slightly rustic without looking straight out of a barn. It was decided that nothing but the tree was needed for the ceremony (and that is one smart decision made!). For the reception, we used Pangas great wood slab tables and chairs, and added an assortment of colorful flowers in various vases, some succulents, a little bit of lace and pops of gold... the result? Exactly what we wanted!!!!

Once again, thank you to all the wonderful vendors that make all our weddings possible!

Italy Weddings / Crystal & Adam at Relais La Costa, Monteriggioni

Sometimes, you arrive at a place that is so stunning that you can't find the words to describe it. The first time I saw Relais La Costa.... I was speechless. A beautiful old villa located in the hills of Monteriggioni, this wonderful boutique hotel and wedding venue was just the perfect spot to celebrate Crystal & Adam's intimate Tuscany wedding. However, one of the most wonderful parts was the tiny chapel with beautifully preserved frescoes from the 1300s, where the Catholic ceremony was held.  Add to that wonderful musicians and rendition of Ave Maria that did not leave one dry eye in the house.... and I can guarantee it was something out of this world!

With stunning views and wonderful architecture (and art), truth is, the church and venue needed very little extra to make it magical, and we were able to supplement the beauty in just the right places. Crystal and Adam chose a more traditional palette of whites and soft pink and coral hues, and  Sofia at Il Profumo dei Fiori created, as always, wonderful designs. The bride arrived at the ceremony in a champagne colored vintage Bentley, and after the ceremony, the newlyweds went out for a short drive in the Tuscan countryside.

Back at La Costa, guests enjoyed a spectacular aperitivo, with wonderful food and drink, while they enjoyed the view. When Adam & Crystal returned, they surprised the guests with bagpiper (to honor the groom's grandfather's memory), something that turned out to be one of the highlights of the afternoon!

After dinner (yet another example of wonderful Tuscan cooking), guests enjoyed a dessert table and lots of dancing (into the wee hours of the morning)!  It was truly a fun weekend for all that attended, with additional activities planned to keep guests entertained (dinner in the fortified town of Monteriggioni, wine tasting at a local Cantina producing excellent wine....)!
