Intimate Beach Club Wedding / Kasey & Patrick at Langosta Beach Club

I have said this many times before… I love intimate weddings. Those small affairs with family and the closest of friends, that are surely to become the rule rather than the exception in the coming few months (or years). As a destination wedding planner, most of our weddings are on the smaller side, 30-80 guests, with very few going over 100 each year (which is still small in comparison to a lot of more “traditional” at-home weddings), but I hold a special spot in my heart for those weddings that are so very personal to the bride and groom.

Kasey & Patrick had one of these weddings, small, filled with love, and lots of special details (a good thing is that some beautiful touches that can be cost prohibitive with a 250 guest count are just right with a smaller guest list). Following a beachfront ceremony and cocktail at a Casa Islita, the group had a lovely poolside dinner at Langosta Beach Club. There is nothing like a celebration filled with love, good food, great music and beautiful flowers. Am I right?

Costa Rica Weddings / Sam & Eugene at Pangas Beach Club

So happy to share this beautiful wedding at one of our favorite wedding venues!!!! Samantha & Eugene fell in love with the tree at Pangas, so it was only logical that it serve as the backdrop for their ceremony (and later in the evening, for their amazing dessert spread).

Lovely little details were the focus of this wedding. The macrame for the seating display was made by the bride and finished off with a great local driftwood find (I am lucky enough to live in a beach where there is lots and lots of driftwood and if you are patient enough, you will find amazing stuff!). Names were hand written on awesome seed paper, and guests could take them and plant them!

One of my favorite details were the vodka carafes... As Eugene is Russian, it was important to them to honor their tradition and vodka filled carafes were set on each table.  The couple created custom tags that we tied around the carafes with multicolor string, adding special touches to the tables.

The general idea was to keep the decor with a boho feel, adding a pop of reds and oranges to a muted palette.  We worked with my favorite materials, wood,  glass, natural fibers, to give the space the perfect vibe, for an evening filled with fun, dancing and a most amazing dessert table!!!
