Costa Rica Weddings / Irina & Jeremy at El Chante

I am personally a huge fan of the tropical contemporary style that is so perfectly reflected in Balinese architecture. When Irina & Jeremy chose El Chante as their wedding venue, I was so excited to be able to work in a perfectly designed and appointed rental villa, creating their perfect wedding day.

We had originally planned a beach wedding, but when Irina & Jeremy arrived in Tamarindo and saw the villa for the first time, they found a perfect garden gazebo spot for their intimate ceremony... It was the perfect choice as it was not your usual beach wedding site. Due to the space, we had to go non traditional with only one line of seats with somewhat of a side aisle.

Wanting to take advantage of the lovely common areas (and the stunning view of Tamarindo, Playa Grande and the Tamarindo estuary), we opted to host the cocktail hour up in the living space of the villa, so guests could enjoy the views of the sunset (we were super lucky with the weather that day!)

For dinner, which was set up poolside, we opted for natural materials (wood tables, wood chairs, rattan, natural linen runners) and added a pop of color with the flowers. Sting lights hanging above the table gave the evening the perfect touch.... It was just the right combination of tropical and romantic and elegant that the bride and groom wanted!
